What StopBurnout actually does

Willpower is a bad API. This is enforcement.

Four pages, one idea: a break only counts if it happens. Below is how the break is enforced, why it covers every screen you own, how the timer stays fair enough to live with, and why none of it needs to know who you are.

A break reminder you can't skip

Three protection levels, from a corner notification to a break that won't end early for anyone — including you. Plus a five-minute test for any break app's enforcement claims.

A break that covers every monitor

The second screen is where most break apps quietly fail. Per-display overlays, mixed DPI, ultrawides, virtual desktops and monitors plugged in mid-break.

A timer that counts real work

The countdown moves only while you're typing or moving the mouse, and time away is credited back as recovery. Meetings and lunches stop costing you breaks you didn't earn.

Local-only, by principle

No account, no telemetry, no cloud. One value is read — time since your last input — and your history lives in a SQLite file on your own disk.

Try the whole thing for two weeks

The complete Windows app, free for 14 days — no account, no installer, no telemetry. If it doesn't change how your afternoons feel, delete the folder.
